On 1 October, the International Agricultural Cooperative Organisation (ICAO) held its annual general meeting via Zoom.

Held virtually for the first time in the organization' history, this year's general meeting was attended by the representatitves of sixteen member organizations.

The meeting agenda included, among other things, approval of the acting president Sunghee Lee as the new president and amendments to the ICAO Rules, which govern the running of the organization.

Lee, who was overwhemingly approved as the new president, will serve his term until the next elections to the Executive Committee, which may take place as soon as the end of next year. The five amendments that had been submitted to the meeting were also overwhemingly approved by the membership.
