NongHyup (NACF) had a capacity-building workshop for agricultural cooperators in Asia-Pacific for six days from 23 – 28 September at its headquarters in Seoul, Korea.

The workshop was attended by 25 representatives from 10 Asian-Pacific countries ranging from China, India, Malaysia and Myanmar to Vietnam.
The workshop, which first began in 2002 and now in its 17th year, was organized to contribute to agriculture and rural communities and has attracted over 300 cooperators from developing countries.
NACF General Manager Kyong-won Lee said: “This year’s workshop has helped improved communication and collaboration channels between Asian-Pacific cooperators. I hope it can also lay a foundation for joint projects between agricultural cooperatives in developing countries."
The NACF runs the secretariat of the International Cooperative Agricultural Organisation and contributes to the world’s agriculture and rural communities through multiple joint projects. Since last year, the NACF has carried out KOICA Global Workshops and other ODA programmes and continued to work with a number of developing countries to launch more joint projects.
